Department of Defense meets with SMART young scholars

ARLINGTON, Va. — Civilian and military officials met with young scholars taking advantage of the Department of Defense’s SMART scholarships.
The DoD established the Science, Mathematics and Research for Transformation Scholarship for Service Program to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines. The program aims to increase the number of civilian scientists and engineers working at DoD laboratories.
